F.R.A.M.E.

The UAF Department of Theatre & Film operates FRAME Film Production Services - a full service production company. FRAME FPS works directly with clients both locally, and nationally, to produce professional video content for television, film, and online media. Within FRAME, students have the opportunity to directly work with professionals in developing, filming, and editing documentaries.

UAF F.R.A.M.E. Film Production Services serves as a dynamic hub for both creativity and education. With access to an impressive array of facilities, the department is dedicated to producing high-quality, professional work. What sets F.R.A.M.E. apart is its dual mission of excellence in production and providing hands-on training opportunities for students. Through these immersive experiences, aspiring filmmakers not only contribute to impactful projects but also develop the practical skills and industry insights necessary for success in the competitive world of film and media.

F.R.A.M.E. productions is a year-round full service production company which supports our academic programs, while conducting cinematic and documentary productions under contract with local and national organizations and clients. Students may enroll in FLPA 403: F.R.A.M.E. Film Practicum to gain valuable skills on documentary production while working under faculty guidance. F.R.A.M.E. routinely hires FLPA majors to work on productions throughout the year.
