鶹 Fairbanks Summer Sessions and Lifelong Learning is hosting more than 40 free lectures, concerts and events this summer.
Here’s what’s happening during the week of July 29-Aug. 4:
- On Monday, July 29, the Fairbanks Tall Timbers interview series honors Roger Brunner, former attorney and Rotary Club president. The interview is at 7 p.m. in the BP Design Theater, located on the fourth floor of the Usibelli Building.
- On Tuesday, July 30, the Healthy Living lecture series will host Stewart Kerr, orthopedist, with a talk on “Arthritis Surgery Victory: Guidelines for the Win.” The talk is at 7 p.m. in the BP Design Theater.
- On Wednesday, July 31, the Discover Alaska lecture series will feature Kelly Drew, professor of chemistry and biochemistry at the Institute of Arctic Biology, discussing “Hibernation for Space Torpor and Remote Emergency Medicine.” The lecture is at 7 p.m. in the BP Design Theater.
- On Thursday, Aug. 1, the Music in the Garden concert series will feature Diamond Fuller at 6 p.m. and Ryan Bowers and the Brain Trust at 7:30 p.m. at the Georgeson Botanical Garden.
All events are free and open to the public. Parking on the UAF Troth Yeddha’ Campus is free after 5 p.m.
