Sutton to lead Honors College

Vice Provost Trent Sutton has been named interim director of the UAF Honors College. Sutton succeeds Alex Hirsch, who served as Honors College director since 2018. Sutton will continue to serve in his role as vice provost and accreditation liaison officer, a position he has held for the past year. Prior to that, Sutton was associate dean for the College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences. He joined UAF as a member of the fisheries faculty in 2006.
