Mentorship program for first-generation students
The First-Gen Mentorship Program offers first-generation students an opportunity to connect with faculty, staff and alumni across the university who can support them in their endeavors. First-gen college students are those whose parents or guardians have not completed a four-year degree.
Mentors can also connect you to the larger Fairbanks community, provide opportunities to follow your passions, and offer you the resources to help you succeed in your college experience. If you are a first-gen student want to join the program, sign up ! You can also email Claire Swanson at uaf-firstgenak@alaska.edu or call 474-5684.
