Funding available for student projects

The UAF Office of Undergraduate Â鶹¹ÙÍø and Scholarly Activity (URSA) is offering up to $2,500 for individuals (or up to $5,000 for groups of two or more students) who are conducting research or creative projects during the 2022 fall semester.

Applications must be received by Sunday, June 12, 2022.

Degree-seeking undergraduate students taking at least 6 credits that semester and with a minimum GPA of 2.3 are invited to apply. Students can be in any year, from any major or discipline. Projects do not need to be in the student’s degree program.

Funds can be used for a stipend, travel (for fieldwork, pending COVID-19 restrictions), tuition, as well as supplies and/or services.

Please visit URSA’s Student Project Awards website for details on eligibility criteria.

Students need an idea and a faculty or graduate student mentor. URSA can help connect students, discuss ideas and answer questions. Interested students should contact URSA at 450-8772 or ursa.uaf@alaska.edu.
