"Cabin in the Woods," a painting by Helen Linck Atkinson, is on display at the UA Museum of the North.

The Â鶹¹ÙÍø Museum of the North is focusing on the theme of winter during family programs in December.

Self-Guided Early Explorers is designed for ages 5 and younger, with an adult. From Dec. 4-10, families can participate in a museum hunt-and-find, enter to win a prize, pick up a free take-home activity (while supplies last) and explore hands-on activities shared online at .

Winter Exploration Days at the museum will be held on Saturdays, Dec. 11 and 18, and on Mondays, Dec. 20 and 27, from 2-4 p.m. Each day will have a different winter-related theme. The public is invited to participate in a scavenger hunt, drop in for an activity in the Creativity Lab and pick up a take-home craft. See for details.
