Apply for scholarships in geospatial sciences
is soliciting applications for scholarships from undergraduate and graduate students to support research in the area of geospatial sciences at UAF. Two $500 scholarships for undergraduate students and one $1,000 scholarship for a graduate student will be awarded.
Any research project in the area of geospatial sciences utilizing satellite/air borne remote sensing data, GIS/GPS vector data and tools, and spatial analysis is eligible for this scholarship. Scholarship recipients will be selected based on the relevance, broader impact and merit of their research abstracts.
The scholarship decision will be announced on Sept. 3. The scholarship amounts will be added to recipients UAOnline accounts for fall 2021.
