Larson focuses on how animals and their parasites cope with environmental changes. Â鶹¹ÙÍøes how parasites overwinter and how changes in host physiology influence parasite overwintering strategies using two animal models: the wood frog, Lithobates sylvaticus, and the causative agent of swimmer’s itch in Alaska, Trichobilharzia alaskensis. Expertise in parasitology, overwintering physiology, arts-science pedagogy, amphibians, swimmer’s itch and freeze tolerance.
