C-Notes April 7, 2025

Message from the Dean

Mark your calendars for the annual State of the College, which will be held in person in Fairbanks (O’Neill 201) and hosted virtually from 1–2 pm on Thursday, April 17. As in prior years, this event will highlight our progress in research, academics and service, and congratulate this year's recipients of the Dean’s Recognition Awards to our faculty, staff and students. I will also reflect on the successful implementation of the CFOS Decadal Plan over the past nine years; the plan was developed in 2016 following the restructure of our former School and Board of Regents approval of the College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences.

It is a pleasure to recognize CFOS staff members who were honored for their longevity during last week’s Staff Recognition and Development Day. Thank you for your dedication and service to CFOS and UAF.
