There are a wide variety of services for UAF students to achieve success in their education.  Whether you are a traditional student on Troth Yeddha' campus, a rural student at a remote campus or a non-traditional student at CTC, the services below are for you.  

Librarians and library staff assist students in using library resources and can give guidance on how to best locate research and information resources both in the library and beyond, regardless of format. As always, seeking out help and assistance from reference staff early in the research process can save many hours of frustrating work.

The Office of Information Technology (OIT) at the Â鶹¹ÙÍø is a unique organization in that it provides services to students and employees system-wide. We provide local services to the University of Alaska Fairbanks and state-wide employees. OIT’s network infrastructure connects the three university campuses and thirteen community campuses to instructional technologies, administrative computing, voice and data services as well as the internet.

The UAF Student Health and Counseling Center promotes the well-being of our students. We assist students in acquiring the knowledge, skills and behaviors necessary to recover, build and maintain healthy, balanced lifestyles. Our mission also includes fostering a healthy campus environment through prevention and outreach activities.

The UAF Student Health and Counseling Center offers after-hours counseling services for students who need immediate mental health care.  The Center has employed a counseling service that has professional counselors on staff available to serve our students when we are closed which is evenings, weekends, and during university holidays.

At UAF Disability Services, our goal is to provide UAF students with access to academic classes and course materials through an interactive accommodation process. UAF Disability Services provides accommodations to students on the Fairbanks campus as well as on the Bristol Bay, Chukchi, Interior Alaska, Kuskokwim, Northwest, Community and Technical College (CTC), UAF eCampus, and College of Indigenous Studies (CIS) campuses. Disability Services implements the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and ensures that UAF students have equal access to the campus and course materials.

Located in 514 Gruening Building, provides opportunities for academic development, assists students with college requirements, and serves to motivate students towards successful completion of their degree program.

Students have access to services if they meet any of the three eligibility requirements:
a) limited income, b) documented disability, or c) first generation college student. Students receive intensive advising, one-one-one tutoring, technology checkouts, free printing and copying, computer lab space, and many other services.

If you need help jump starting your vehicle, or if you lock your keys in your vehicle while at UAF/CTC locations, please call at 907-474-5053. 
A Parking Attendant will be dispatched to assist you. This complimentary service is available during our regular business hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. You will be asked to show photo ID and sign a liability release form.

Fairbanks Campus

The Academic Advising Center provides advising for general studies, pre-majors, AHEAD and non-degree seeking students. In the Academic Advising Center the staff and specially-trained faculty academic advisors advise these students. Our office also serves as a resource for information and training to the academic advising community.

Community & Technical College

The provides advising for associate of arts and non-degree students, as well as those in the process of deciding upon a program of study. Advising for degree students is provided by program advisors with detailed knowledge of the student’s degree program. Military students and their dependents can receive specialized advising from our Northern Military Program advisors. Career advising is also available through our advising center.

The Office of Rights, Compliance and Accountability Office supports student-centered programs and services designed to assist students in achieving their personal, academic and career goals.
