Amy Hortsman Ingram receives the fall 2023 President's Adjunct Award

This award is a testament to Amy’s unwavering dedication and 10 years of service to the Department of Music at UAF.

Nominated by her colleagues, Amy was recognized for her incredible contributions to both the department and the broader university community. Her commitment has played a key role in fostering many students who have gone on to pursue degrees at UAF, inspiring the next generation of musicians.

In addition to her work with the Department of Music, Amy has dedicated countless years to the UAF Summer Music Academy. As coordinator, she oversaw numerous courses while also playing a vital role in recruiting faculty and students. Amy’s leadership and passion for music education have made a lasting impact, not only on the students she’s worked with but also on the faculty and the community.

One of her colleagues noted in their nomination letter that Amy “cares greatly about the reputation of UAF and the Department of Music, making sure to promote the university in all of her numerous activities throughout Fairbanks.”

The President’s Adjunct Award is a well-deserved recognition of Amy’s tireless dedication, passion, and service to UAF. Congratulations, Amy! Your contributions continue to shape the future of music education at UAF, and we are proud to celebrate this achievement with you.
