CBSM students suit up at Professionally Polished
By Pearson Clark, CBSM Bachelor of Business Administration student
Stepping into the business world can be a little daunting at times, from learning how to network to presenting yourself to potential clients. However, no university looks out for its students the way UAF does. After several successful years, UAF and the College of Business and Security Management have once again teamed up with Frank’s Menswear and Spirit of Alaska Federal Credit Union to give business students the opportunity to better prepare themselves for the business world.
Frank’s Menswear is a specialty clothing store of business, formal and casual attire and is locally owned by none other than a UAF alumnus, Jeremiah Smith ‘05. With a gift from Spirit of Alaska, eligible students receive a shopping stipend at Frank’s Menswear, as well as styling tips along the way. This is a great way to give students more confidence in the business world and better prepare them for interviews or business-related events. Having this chance is incredible and along with the other Professionally Polished events, is an overall experience that no student should miss.
