Mohammad Heidari Kapourchali is an assistant professor of electrical engineering in the department of electrical engineering at UAA and an affiliate researcher for ACEP. His research focuses on energy resilience on islands and in remote rural communities, microgrid operation and planning, and renewable energy integration. Among the funding sources for his research are the National Science Foundation, Alaska NASA EPSCoR, and the Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities.
Heidari Kapourchali received his Ph.D. in electrical engineering and computer science from Wichita State University in 2018.
